Hungarian National Parks Week – 20th anniversary of the Balaton-felvidéki National Park – discounted visit to the Lavender House Visitor Centre

Location: Tihany

Time of the meeting: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

An interactive exhibition on the biotic and abiotic natural heritage of Tihany Peninsula and on lavender growing. A movie room and a lavender gift shop, a tea house, a handcrafts activity room and an outdoor exhibitiona area await visitors on the shore of Belső-tó (Inner Lake).

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the national park, adult visitors can pay a discounted entrance fee to the visitor site on this day.

No prior booking is needed.

The geological exhibition of the visitor centre was renewed in 2016, the movie room was renewed this spring. Visitors can watch a new, spectacular film about lavender growing on Tihany Peninsula.

Special cameras have been set up in the neighbourhood of the visitor centre to observe the life of the European Ground Squirrel population living on the meadow next to Belső-tó. Three outdoor monitors show their life in the Lavender House Visitor Centre and in its garden.
