Geological Whirl in Budapest

Time of the meeting: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The event hosts the Bakony–Balaton UNESCO Global Geopark, managed by the Balaton-felvidéki National Park Directorate. Numerous other organizations that are related to geology will participate: the Novohrad–Nógrád UNESCO Global Geopark, Hungarian national parks, universities, companies, national institutions and civil organisations. Visitors can become aquainted with rock types, fossils, the traces of climate change in rocks, the healing power of our waters, the results of Hungarian research on dinosaurs, other geological researches, geological nature conservation, geohazards, geophysics, mineral resources, geoheritage and geotourism in geoparks, the Mineral of the Year and so on.

The eco- and geotourism offer of the geopark and handcrafts workshop await visitors at the stand of the geopark.
